About Frank Walker

Frank Walker’s music exists in the overlap between EDM, pop, and R&B. It’s a full-body sound wreathed in heady atmospheres, fusing heavy bass, insistent drums, and soaring vocal hooks. The Toronto native got his start behind the decks in the early 2010s, then dropped his debut EP, Nocturnal, in 2016, blending the pianos of deep house with the steely synths of progressive. But by the following year’s 24 EP, he had already begun taking his music in a more melodic direction, putting focus on silvery vocal toplines and sinking into slower, hip-hop-influenced grooves. The same year, a collaboration with The Chainsmokers’ frequent creative partner Emily Warren found him doubling down on his crossover sound. In the years since, in between remixes for acts like Kygo, Marshmello, and ZAYN, Walker has continued to push himself, toying with tropical house on 2020’s “More Than OK” and even trying on country influences on the same year’s “Can’t Let Go.” In Walker’s world, every Venn diagram of overlapping genres is another chance to color outside the lines.
