In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a boy around 5 - 10 years old, I had this portable CD player. I used to plug in headphones and lose myself to 90’s electronic music (like “Eiffel 65” / “The Chemical Brothers”) during car rides and vacation with my parents. 💿 What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto This album basically made me want to make music full time. I listened to this album over and over when I was 15 / 16. It helped me through a lot of depression and fatness. I worked out while listening to it and actually ended up losing 100 pounds! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Just Fine” This is an instrumental song of mine. It is special because it is the first recording as Flakestate where I felt something ethereal. It was also my first attempt at recording guitar. This song still makes me nostalgic every time I listen to it! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think my favorite moment was going to Europe in 2014 with my parents after I graduated highschool. It coincided with my first releases as Flakestate (Haunt & Just Fine). This trip was a giant inspiration and there is a Documentary of it on YouTube! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to play a song on the piano in the middle of a category 5 Hurricane.
