French Kiwi Juice, or FKJ, is the stage persona of the French singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Fenton. His music incorporates elements of hip-hop, funk, jazz, soul, and the electronic subgenre known as new French house.
• FKJ studied sound engineering for film before releasing his first EP, The Twins, in 2012.
• His international breakthrough came with the 2017 streaming smash “Tadow,” an improvised collaboration with the singer Masego that FKJ called “the eight luckiest minutes of our lives so far.” Masego included the song on his 2018 album Lady Lay.
• FKJ released his full-length debut, French Kiwi Juice, in 2017.
• He named his 2019 EP Ylang Ylang after the spot in a Costa Rican jungle where he recorded it, using a generator by night for electricity.
