Festa Mobile

About Festa Mobile

Festa Mobile were a highly-rated, if obscure, symphonic jazz rock quintet hailing from Rome, and led by the brothers Giovanni and Francesco Boccuzzi, and bassist Tonio Napoletano. Festa Mobile cut just one album, the ambitious concept Dario Di Vaggio Della Festa Mobile (Diary of the Journey of the Movable Feast), issued in Italy by RCA in 1973, but broke up soon after its release. Following this, the Boccuzzis and Napoletano recruited drummer Piero Mangini and launched Il Baricentro. ~ Dave Thompson
