About Felixx

Atlanta-based contemporary R&B artist Felix Thompson, aka Felixx, reached a nationwide audience in 2018 as a contestant on The Four. Among the singer and songwriter's numerous singles and EPs are "Thot" (2017) and "Somebody" (2019), profile-raising tracks that have displayed his ease with early-'90s balladry and modern trap production. Originally from Macon, Georgia, where he started singing as a youngster in church, Felix Thompson made progress as a pop-oriented contemporary R&B vocalist after he moved to Atlanta. He signed with Loud N Klear, a local independent distributed by Empire, and from 2015 through 2017 issued a handful of short-form releases, such as a self-titled EP and the profile-raising single "Thot." Thompson had opened for the likes of Babyface, Monica, and Cee Lo Green by mid-2018, when he competed on the nationally televised singing competition The Four, impressing the audience and star-studded panel with performances of Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" and Tevin Campbell's "Can We Talk." A little later in the year, he won the Searching for the ONE contest held at the ONE Musicfest in his adoptive hometown. The singles "Day One" and "Somebody" followed in 2019. ~ Andy Kellman
