In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid, my mother's accordion was too heavy for me to lift and actually play, so I'd just press the keys while slowly turning the dial on an old AM radio, drifting between stations. I've been chasing that in-between atmosphere ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Enigma, MCMXC a.D. Moonsorrow, Viides Luku - Hävitetty Pink Floyd, Animals Each of these albums builds a complete, immersive world you step into. They taught me that an album should be a sustained spell: a slow, totalizing atmosphere that pulls you out of ordinary time. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Lights of Skellige” This song took almost twenty years to write, and in many ways it's the very reason Evoking Winds came to be. It began in solitude as a longing for an imaginary land of the north that never existed, and it ended among the friends who made it real. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Nothing has stayed with me more than the letters from listeners - strangers who told us our music found them in their own solitude, and gave the songs a meaning far beyond anything we set out to make. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Although Evoking Winds project is going to have some rest, our team is not. We will meet again in the next chapters and genres.
