About Eric Butterfield

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Desiring to play musical instruments I did not yet have, I stapled rubber bands to a shoe box to serve as a guitar, and played various Tupperware containers as drums, making recordings to cassettes on a giant beat box. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Blink” I like songs about youthful mistakes, and I hope this is successful storytelling. It's about fast living, fast food, raw sexual promiscuity, and potentially life-threatening consequences (even if it is a mistaken identity). Don't blink. Summer fades. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Learning that my single, "Wake Me In Paris," had reached the semi-finals in the International Songwriting Competition, in the unsigned category. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My music has appeared in more than 300 TV show episodes. But I am still in search of a featured song placement in a TV show or movie where the song is central to the mood of the scene rather than a background track.
