About Eric Alexandrakis

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Lying in my crib listening to Wendy Carlos' version of "Final Movement from Brandenburg", the theme song from Miami's WTMI classical station. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arcadia, So Red the Rose Oasis, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) "So Red The Rose" taught me how to be an artist, by combining all essential elements..."Morning Glory" combines everything great about British Music..."The White Album" is experimental and ambitious like I am. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Satan's Fried Scapegoat Breakfast” It sounds like an experimental film, is all played in first takes on a 16-track with no computers, no loops, no pitch correction, and no quantization. I'm a big believer in played music. I can't believe I have to even make that distinction. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments is when John Taylor [Duran Duran], the one who discovered me, sent me a congratulatory email for my first Grammy nomination. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being an artist is an expedition, as there is always something new to discover. As I write this, I am backlogged 14 albums, with new ideas coming every day.
