About Elodie
Elodie Di Patrizi’s pink hair and raw vocal talent made her a standout among the contestants on the Italian TV contest Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2015. After reaching the finals and signing a deal with Universal, the singer and model—who was born in Rome in 1990—soon proved not just how unique she is but how modern, too. Though early hits like “Un’Altra Vita” were big, dramatic ballads like the showstoppers that have long filled the charts at home, Elodie helped lead a wave of new acts whose embrace of American hip-hop and R&B helped give Italian music a strongly contemporary and international feel through the late 2010s. A team-up with the band The Kolors, “Pensare male” showed Elodie’s forte for the kind of high-class funkiness you’d expect of a performer who sometimes walked the catwalks for Donatella Versace. Released in 2020, her third album, This Is Elodie, makes for an impressive statement of purpose. When not holding her own opposite Italian rap stars Marracash and Fabri Fibra, Elodie confidently rides the EDM and dancehall rhythms supplied by producers like the house duo Daddy’s Groove. Elodie clinched her status as a new-school Italian pop diva with “Andromeda,” an exhilarating collaboration with singer/songwriter Mahmood that fused dance pop and reggaetón.
