About Ejay Mallard.

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, I was immersed in 90s R&B at home. But one of my earliest musical memories goes back to my mom's insistence on my reluctant participation in the gospel church choir. Surprisingly, over time, I grew to love it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Deluxe Edition (Explicit)) Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly My top three favorite albums on Apple Music are "Channel Orange" by Frank Ocean for its storytelling, "To Pimp a Butterfly" by Kendrick Lamar for its social commentary, and "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" by Kanye West for its sonic innovation. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I COULD HAVE BUT I DIDN'T (feat. Mike Melinoe)” My last single, "I COULD HAVE BUT I DIDN'T," blends R&B, funk, & Houston undertones in a unique way. With its catchy melody and lyrics, the song has resonated with listeners, making it, in my opinion, timeless music! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for a Grammy-award winner is definitely my most memorable moment so far. Sharing the stage with such talent was an honor, and it put a battery in my back to go even harder so I can one day be on that Grammy stage! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to perform at some well-known venues in front of a sold-out crowd, make music with some of my dream collaborators, make an impactful album that is recognized by my peers as a classic, and just live a peaceful life.
