About Eamonn McCrystal

An accomplished Irish pop tenor and television and radio host based out of Los Angeles, California, Eamonn McCrystal was born on June 1, 1987 in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. Classically trained on piano, voice, and flute, McCrystal made his radio debut at the age of nine on the George Jones Show, a popular music program on BBC Radio Ulster, and by the age of 13 he had issued his first album, After the Storm. He spent the ensuing years touring Ireland with a 15-piece band and releasing another pair of studio LPs, 2006's The Search and 2007's Rest for Your Soul. In 2009 he issued his first concert album, Eamonn McCrystal Live, and in 2011, after relocating to the United States, he released When in Nashville…, which featured six covers and six originals penned by outside songwriters. A collection of holiday music produced by Nigel Wright titled Music of Christmas & the Stories Behind the Songs arrived in 2013, and in 2014 he released A Living Prayer, a collection of comforting contemporary songs and traditional hymns. The following year saw the release of the Music of Northern Ireland, a concert special shot at the historic Grand Opera House in Belfast. ~ James Christopher Monger
