About Doug Robertson

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At the age of 9, a local store had a parking lot event. I went up to the sound man and asked if I could sing on their stage. he said "sure"! I got up there with my string held acoustic guitar and from that moment knew I wanted to do this all the time What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Crosby, Stills & Nash, CSN Grand Funk Railroad, Grand Funk (Remastered) Santana, Santana's Greatest Hits First, I am harmony driven, Give me cool vocal harmony dynamics that are unexpected. Then give me guitar driven songs that create soaring guitar solos. Put the two together and I am a happy camper! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “And the Life” A 1990's Reno roadside memorial still remains and tells a poignant story of two teens and the tragedy to both. It captured me and took five years to find the right words and musical approach. Thanks to Richard Campbell who assisted me in writing it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first professional recording at Maranatha Studios in Santa Ana. 1976. Performing for 130,00 people with Max Yasgur's Farm in 2014. More recently performing at Johnny Cash's "Storyteller's Museum" for the 2020 release of the EPIPHANY EP. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Ongoing development as a writer, exploring co-writes and extend my artistry both in my songs and live performances.
