Rapper Doug Lazy, who also worked in Washington, D.C., as a radio DJ named Mean Gene, recorded one album of bass-driven, house/hip-hop tracks in 1990 entitled Doug Lazy Gettin' Crazy. However, Lazy has achieved greater success as a producer. ~ Steve Huey
