Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dionne Warwick, Here Where There Is Love Ella Fitzgerald, Like Someone In Love (Expanded Edition) Joni Mitchell, Hejira Dionne was the first pop artist I fell in love with—esp. the song "Alfie," from this album. Joni's "Amelia," (from Hejira) became a spiritual touchstone for me on my own journey, and this Ella album is just plain full of the velvet voice of love! Tell us why you chose this song. “House on the Ocean” Even though many categorize me as a Christian artist, my songs are really about all of life, not just faith. This one is one of my favorites, and it grew out of an early love gone wrong—a love I obviously found it very difficult to give up on. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Conducting 55 members of the Royal Philharmonic orchestra in Abbey Road Studio B. I finished the parts the night before, the principal French horn player told me afterward it was great horn writing—and there was a squeak in the podium!
