Don Ho

About Don Ho

Don Ho was born and raised in Hawaii and, after a stint as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, returned home to pursue a music career. He spent the early 1960s playing local and mainland clubs and drawing a huge following, which culminated in his '66 hit (and signature tune) "Tiny Bubbles." The song went to number one on the pop charts and led to a successful recording and touring career, TV spots, and even his own prime time variety show. Although his recording career peaked in the 1960s, Ho enjoyed a long-standing popularity until his death in 2007. His unique blend of exotica, straight-up crooning, and laid-back geniality appealed to audiences worldwide, and his old-fashioned showbiz approach never fell out of favor.
