In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had my first public performance at the age of two! I was on a cruise ship to the Bahamas with my family, and according to them, I grabbed the mic with no hesitation and belted "I Believe I Can Fly!" I was famous for the rest of that vacation. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Full Moon Fisk Jubilee Singers, Celebrating Fisk! (The 150th Anniversary Album) Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life "Songs In The Key Of Life" taught me how to tell a story with my voice and my pen. "Full Moon" taught me how to layer, stack, and accompany a lead vocal with intricate yet delicate harmonies. "Celebrating Fisk" won me a GRAMMY! Tell us why you chose this song. “Frustrated Love” I love "Frustrated Love" because I got to tap into my a cappella background when writing it; the entire track has no instrumental pieces other than my voice. I think creating it was a great reminder of exactly what the voice can do. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? This year I released my first EP, "Nothing Personal" and within two months of its release date, I received my first major TV network placement on BET. "Frustrated Love" was featured on All the Queens Men and "Happy & Done" on Sistas BET! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are no bounds to what I want to do with my music and the folks that I create it with. I hope to be in more writing rooms that aid in exposure and new lanes of creativity. And to be the songwriter everyone calls, the artist who everyone trusts.
