Dipper

About Dipper

Taking their divers influence from the likes of The Stranglers, The Dead Kennedys and Gang of Four are Malmö, Sweden's Dipper. Having gotten together in 1994, Joachim Leksell (vocals), Harri Kolari (bass), Patrik Malmros (drums), Magnus (guitar) and Karlsson (guitar) grew fed up of the disco pop and black metal that was surrounding their scene. Resulting in a three chord package of punk rock distortion, Vibrafon Records debuted this sound in 1996 on Dippers first single "Butterfinger." Following the Instant Kamera and Instant Man EPs that came out a year later, a hefty touring schedule throughout Sweden and Europe lasted until 1998 in support of their releases. ~ Mike DaRonco
