In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My very first memory of music was when I was 2 years old, Mom took me to the kitchen and placed me in the bassinet next her, and and she had Ravel’s Bolero playing on the stereo, which I thought was the most amazing sound ever. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, Morning Phase Various Artists, The Lark Ascending Ólafur Arnalds, some kind of peace Beck creates songs that go straight to the heart. I feel as if I’m in nature when I'm listening to The Lark Ascending. Ólafur writes the most beautiful, gentle music and I can listen to it all day. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Beautiful Bones” I played guitar and sang in one take. I love the vibration of the guitar when I play. The song is about the trials we experience in this life. When we pass on from this life, we leave behind something beautiful from the deepest part of us. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? There is no question that taking my guitar to sing and play for people in hospitals and nursing homes, has touched me deeply and still does. The love and gratitude that I received back from sharing the music, has been the most beautiful gift ever. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’ll know the answer to that when I have written my last song.
