About Derrick Hodge

Born in Philadelphia, Derrick Hodge is a celebrated composer and bassist who is equally adept on both electric and upright instruments. While he is best known as a member of the Robert Glasper Experiment, he is an accomplished session musician who has worked extensively across jazz, cinematic, and R&B genres with such artists as Jill Scott, Musiq (Soulchild), Timbaland, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Kanye West, and Gerald Levert. ~ Thom Jurek
