In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As I entered high school, I "inherited" a sweet blue Pearl drum set from my older sister, who blazed a trail by playing drums herself. They opened up a world for an otherwise shy and withdrawn teen to express themself creatively and battle shyness. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Rush, Exit... Stage Left (Live) [Remastered] The Cars, The Cars Van Halen, Van Halen II These were among the first albums I owned and played drums to. Rush's sci-fi concepts ("the Professor on the drum kit"), Van Halen's technical brilliance and listen-ability, and The Car's creative mix of new wave and much more, with crypto-poetry. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Moon Rise (2023 Remastered Version)” I love "Moon Rise". It is an improvised song composed and performed on-the-fly. It inspires me knowing that music like this can seemingly come into existence out of thin air. I love hitting "record" just to see what comes out the other side. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? First, it's a hobby, not a career. Still, I remember playing in a small-town high school talent show several decades ago, improvising a drum solo on-the-fly as a classmate performed improvised dancing. People still talked about it years later. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't really do "bucket lists", though I want to improve and continue to relearn drumming, create and release more music, and most importantly, have some fun. I hope others enjoy at least a little of what I share.
