In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Delirium was born when John Abraham discovered The Soul Rebels at Monterey Jazz Festival after a marathon multi-day listening session to No Doubt tracks. John decided to assemble the top musicians in Calgary, especially disaffected jazz musicians. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? ABBA, ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits Taylor Swift, 1989 Serena Ryder's album celebrates Canadian composers, and reimagines the song with soulful and personable lyric styles. ABBA Gold represents an era when arrangements and compositions were king, yet the lyrical interpretation was not diminished. Tell us why you chose this song. “Stroke Therapy” We were born as disaffected jazz musicians wanting to reinvent pop music. Along the way we discovered the healing power of collaboration, and the amazing feelings of improvising together. And, we rediscovered how wonderful jazz can be. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording "Hideaway" with 16 musicians including a drum-line was an amazing experience. Mixing it was equally exciting. Every time we perform it, we get to share the magic. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would like to do a tour where we collaborate with a different local artists in each stop — whether a trumpet soloist, a vocalist, a renowned percussionists, or a reggae conga player. Whatever!
