About Debbie Drowner

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is hearing songs that sounded like they were bleeding the truth out in real time. I connected to music that wasn't afraid to be messy, emotional, and a little jagged around the edges. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alice In Chains, Dirt (Remastered) My Chemical Romance, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Paramore, Brand New Eyes I love records that turn pain, anger, and vulnerability into something unforgettable. Those albums don't flinch, and I respect that. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Phantom Years” I both love and hate all my songs. They're therapeutic but they're stories of my pain, of times I'd rather forget or move on from. If I'm writing happy songs, then Debbie's gone out of business. If I had to pick, I'd say Phantom Years hits hardest. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Building something real in The Veil while staying true to every rough edge that made me who I am. Between the music and everything tied to Salem Wiches and Drowning in Ink, it started to feel like the art was bleeding into life in the best way. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to make a record that becomes a lifeline for people who feel too much and don't know where to put it. I'd also love to play a room so locked in and emotional that you can hear the silence between the songs.
