About David Solomon
David Solomon produces and spins bright, uplifting EDM and house music aside from his career as the CEO of investment banking firm Goldman Sachs. After he began to perform DJ gigs under the name DJ D-Sol, he began releasing singles in 2018, starting with a dance-pop cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop." He donates proceeds from his gigs and recordings to charities fighting the opioid epidemic.
Solomon has been working in investment banking since the 1980s, and began working for Goldman Sachs in 1999. He became joint head of the investment banking division in 2006, then began serving as president and chief operating officer in January of 2017. As a hobby, he began to DJ in 2017, performing at clubs and music festivals in New York, Miami, and the Bahamas along with big names like Paul Oakenfold and David Guetta. His cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop" was released in 2018, shortly before he became the CEO of Goldman Sachs, and it reached the Top 40 of Billboard's dance singles chart. His first original song, "Feel Alive" (featuring Katt Rockell), followed suit. Third single "Rescue Me" (featuring Alex Newell) appeared in 2019.
