About David Haack

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From my Dad playing acoustic guitar or his accordion around the house to my brother being an excellent drummer and my sister playing piano and flute, music filled the air everywhere. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beck, Colors John Mayer, Born and Raised The Beatles, Abbey Road (Super Deluxe Edition) 2019 Remix & Remaster These are albums I come back to over & over again for inspiration. BORN AND RAISED is so close to my own sensibilities as a songwriter and always inspires me. Beck's COLORS is so good & listenable anywhere anytime, & ABBEY ROAD is simply perfect. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wake up Call” This song represented a new direction and inspiration in my songwriting. A lot had changed in my life from my previous releases to this one, and the lyrics are so personal in this song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was performing with Billy Ray Cyrus around the country when I first moved to LA, I had the opportunity to play on GOOD MORNING AMERICA with him, which was incredible. He was a great mentor. I'll never forget his support while on tour together. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Too many things to name. I have a lot left to do, a lot left to write, and a lot of life left to live to inspire it all. From composing more scores for films, writing more songs, and performing all over, there's a lot left to do in my career.
