In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing the blues for the first time. Specifically, it happened to be Buddy Guy, but I followed it to all kinds of places and cities and bars from there on. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Blood On the Tracks I believe it is Dylan’s greatest and Dylan is to 20th century music what Picasso is to art. After that, I find it impossible to pick only two more. If I spent an evening as DJ, it would be a journey where at least 30 different artists got air time. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “No Never Mind” Right now: No Never Mind. I think it is difficult to be angry, heartbroken, dismissive, and humorous all in one song and I believe I did it here. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing at the Ottawa jazz festival in front of a couple of thousand people and getting an encore as the opening act. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? No, I think if you have a bucket list you weren’t trying hard enough as you went along. I have aspirations, not regrets.
