About Dave Ralph
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Sneaking downstairs when I was really, really young on a Sunday morning to listen to the radio and hearing Hey Jude for the first time is something I will never forget. The outro stuck in my head and I just kept singing it for weeks and weeks. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alucidnation, Aural Architecture Genesis, Wind and Wuthering 2007 Remaster Seba Kaapstad, Konke Each one of these albums is epic in its own right. Genesis is so grandiose, Alucidnation is truly beautiful and Seab Kaapstad is a musical triumph. Its hard to describe in more detail in 250 characters so listen for yourself and see if they move you. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Awake Again” In days that I was super stressed I would wake in the middle of the night sometimes. In one of those moments I went down to my studio in the wee hours of the morning and made Awake Again. I slept like a log after making it! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Closing the Electronic Stage on the last day of Woodstock 99. Fatboy Slim opened and I closed. There were about 75,000 people there. I opened with Cafe Del Mar. it was a moment I will never forget! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think the last thing that I would love to achieve as a producer is to score a movie. I love deep, dark and uplifting sounds so working with a movie producer to create an aural bed for a movie would be achieving a life long goal.
