In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I've always been inspired by songwriters who can tell moving stories and use creativity to capture our imagination. I first took up the drums at age 11 and at age 50 became the songwriter I had always longed to become. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daniel Lanois, Belladonna Joni Mitchell, Hejira Neil Young, Harvest Moon I love how these albums take me to another place while opening up my heart to my own story even as I hear words from another. I love Joni's wonderful metaphors, Neil's lilting words, and Mr. Lanois's ability to paint time with music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Run With the Dog” I wrote this song in memory of losing my dear friend Bill Walters III. He was an amazing soul and I'm lucky to have known him. This was my first release under my own name as well which has a special place in my heart. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Realizing I'm a songwriter at the ripe age of 50. I thought songwriting was a black box of mystery that was only for those touched by fire. Songwriting is for everyone. We can all write songs. I hope to inspire others to do the same. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to collaborate with another gifted songwriter. That would be incredible experience.
