About D'Asia Simone
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical experiences was singing in my school's talent show in 3rd grade. I remember rehearsing at home with my mom and preparing for my performance. I performed Aaliyah's 'More Than A Woman'. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Flying Lotus, Yasuke Michael Jackson, Invincible The Weeknd, Kiss Land (Deluxe) Deluxe Invincible was the first CD I ever owned and one of my favorite entertainers of all time. Kissland was an inspiring body of work, storytelling through both music and visuals. Yasuke is one of my favorite soundtracks and anime. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Element” Element was the first electronic/dance song that I created that really expressed my love for the genre, stepping out of my comfort zone of R&B. It is also one of my favorite music videos that I produced and directed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career is recording my second EP 'Pluto'. After a 3 year hiatus from music, I spent the year refining my art and expressing myself through pure raw emotion. I wrote, performed, recorded, and co-produced. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I admire the journey that music has carried me through so far. I aspire to go as deep and as far as possible through my various art mediums, beyond music, to film, fashion, and so much more. There are no limits.
