About DASHDOWN

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. in the 6th grade I went to the Jr. High dance, but down in the cafeteria there was a band from the High School. It was my first time hearing amps live. They played the whole 'Back In Black' album by ACDC and I was hooked! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Liz Phair, Exile In Guyville 2018 Remaster The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Axis: Bold As Love The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street Deluxe Edition Axis because it's the high of Jimi Hendrix studio prowess, Exile on Mainstreet because it's the very best of the 70's rock I was raised on, and Exile by Liz Phair because it was so influential on everyone I came up with in Chicago & beyond. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dream About a Whale” I like "Dream" because it's honest. I had a dream, woke up, grabbed the guitar and wrote it. It's my shortest tune but about the largest mammal on earth, connectivity, spirit animals and unconscious knowledge. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Has to have been touring as solo opening act for Tommy Stinson of The Replacements in 2019/2020. Learned so much walking the plank with Tommy, played for the coolest people on Earth! By the end we had one amp and one guitar, an honor. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Always! Probably sounds like BS but for me it's always about the next song. It's the way I think. I'm waiting for inspiration, a key phrase, a message, riff or groove. But, if I could, I'd be in better position to help the next generation save rock.
