In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being underage, sneaking out of the house & into Kansas City's historic Mutual Musician's Foundation, asking to jam with some of KC's finest. This was my chance to see if any of what I could glean from playing along to records was working. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Prince, 1999 2019 Remaster The Beatles, Rubber Soul The Radio Dept., Lesser Matters Though seemingly disparate, all 3 of these albums mean a lot to me; both musically & personally. What I do feel unites them is that they all are distinctive, uncompromising & singular. They all "feel" & sound unique & truly unique. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hanging On” Hanging on is, in a word, about identity. More specifically the loss of it, or the fight to retain it amidst constant pressure in the modern age to forfeit it. I feel I captured that notion in the lyrics while setting it to a nice tapestry musically. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing guitar with long time friend Pete Yorn, getting to share a stage with musical heroes Tom Petersson & Warren Pash, winning over crowds in venues big & small over the years. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Too many things to count, really. But in general, achieving as much as possible while never sacrificing personal or artistic integrity.
