About Daniele Pollini

Daniele Pollini made his piano debut at the 1997 Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, attracting considerable attention as Maurizio Pollini's son, and the pair began to perform together on stage. Daniele made his debut as a conductor at the 2002 Ravenna Festival, leading an all-Beethoven program with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI. His recording debut came as a pianist with that group in 2008 on the album Salvatore Sciarrini: Orchestral Works. Pollini also conducted concerts featuring his father as a piano soloist. He released the solo recital Chopin: Etudes, Op. 10; Scriabin: Late Works Opp. 70-74; Stockhausen: Klavierstück IX on the Deutsche Grammophon label in 2018, and several more albums with Maurizio Pollini on Deutsche Grammophon, including Schubert, released in 2024 after Maurizio's death.
