Daiquiri Fantomas

Daiquiri Fantomas is the project of Sicilian retro-futurists Marco Barrano and Dario Sanguedolce, who began playing together in their hometown of Caltagirone in 2010. Together, Sanguedolce, a classically trained keyboardist, and Barrano, a multi-instrumentalist and engineer, borrow from prog rock, sci-fi soundtracks, and Mediterranean influences in their whimsically atmospheric electronic pop. The duo signed to the London-based label Blow-Up Records for their debut album, MHz Invasion, which arrived in late 2013. ~ Heather Phares
