About Crossfade
When they formed in 1993, hard rock group Crossfade originally went by The Nothing and then Sugardaddy Superstar before settling on their current name. ∙ “Cold,” the first single from the band’s Platinum-selling debut album, was a smash hit, ultimately spending 65 weeks on the Billboard Active Rock chart. ∙ Frontman Ed Sloan and bassist Mitch James have remained constant, but Crossfade’s rotating cast of drummers has included members of Evanescence, Puddle of Mudd, and Bury Your Dead. ∙ In 2011, they headlined Michigan’s Rockapalooza festival, drawing a crowd of more than 8,000 people. ∙ With Crossfade in the midst of an extended period of inactivity, Sloan released his first solo single, “Surrender,” in 2018.
