Crack Jaw

German hard rock band Crack Jaw released a single album for local label Steamhammer Records in 1985, but failed to use this as a launch pad to a successful mainstream career. This was disappointing, as the musicianship and songwriting displayed by Stephen Kiergerl (vocals), Holger Eckstein (guitar), Jurgen Schulz (guitar), Gerriot Eisenmenger (bass), and Markus Klinke (drums) on Night Out was excellent. Outside of Germany and other central European territories, the group’s expertly performed melodic hooks never translated into sales, and by the following year, Crack Jaw had folded.
