In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories takes me back to the nostalgic tunes of old creole zydeco songs were played by my father. When I got older, I called it zydeco blues because it wasn’t lively but morose and told stories of lost or dream deferred. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Geto Boys, Grip It on That Other Level MF DOOM, MM..FOOD Quasimoto, The Further Adventures of Lord Quas Grip is just that raw street rap like we used to spit in battle raps or in a cypher on my or someone else's porch. Lord Quas' and Mmm food are the best artistic albums in my collection. I play MF and Quas albums on a regular but these stand out. It's a thank you note, with an update on current events to the ancestors that didn't turn the other cheek. It's a homage to those that fought oppression with violence.
