Playing a spirited mixture of rockabilly, R&B, garage rock, and blues, Cowbell is a duo from London comprised of Jack Sandham on vocals, guitar, and keyboards, and Wednesday Lyle on percussion and vocals. In the summer of 2010, Cowbell released their debut recording, "Oh Girl," a 7" single on Stove Pony Records; the A-side picked up some high-profile radio airplay, and a second single, "Never Satisfied," was issued by the Too Pure Singles Club in late 2010. After the enthusiastic public reception to their first singles and an increasingly busy schedule of live shows, Cowbell attracted the attention of long-running punk and roots rock label Damaged Goods, who signed the band and released their first fell-length album, Beat Stampede, in October 2012. ~ Mark Deming
