About cootie catcher
With their playful, kitchen-sink approach to instrumentation, Toronto indie pop group cootie catcher cobble together influences such as garage, lo-fi, new wave, twee, and jangle pop to enliven their existentially distressed lyrics. After debuting in 2022 with the home-recorded stupid is as stupid does, which introduced their use of self-made samples, cootie catcher made their label debut on Cooked Raw with 2025's Shy at First. Their proper studio debut, the Carpark-issued Something We All Got, followed in 2026.
