In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My journey began at 7 on the piano, thanks to my mom. By 14, I traded the music lessons for high school sports. But music had other plans. Turntables soon caught my attention, leading me into DJ culture and shaping the sound I’m known for today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gilles Peterson, Brazilika Kraftwerk, Computer World (Remastered) Poolside, Pacific Standard Time These are three albums that thread through my musical beginning (Kraftwerk), my musical growth (Gilles Peterson), and my current favorite genre of laid-back, loungy electronica that is embraced by some of the world's finest hotel or rooftop getaways. Jana Clarke & Elle Vii)” This track was born after a private rooftop hang with Jana Clarke, Elle Vii, and a few friends in Miami. We lounged, watching meteors streak across the sky. The vibe was laid-back, chill, and lighthearted—exactly what inspired the sound. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I’ve DJ’d in 22 countries and traveled to 44. While playing in Brazil, Denmark, the UK, France, or Ibiza was unforgettable, recording an exclusive remix of "Feels Like Home" at Sony Music Studios in Tokyo stands as a new favorite moment of my career. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? After recording a track in Tokyo, I'd like to spend some more time there and record an EP or a full album. The cosmopolitan expanse of Tokyo is great inspiration for another significant body of work to add to my discography. DJing there too, perhaps?
