Combichrist

The icy chill of synthesizers and programmed beats has always sounded somewhat alienating to human ears, and groups like Combichrist have found ways to make it even more unsettling. Part of a wing of techno body music referred to as aggrotech, Combichrist’s music is dark and harshly danceable. Formed in 2003 by Norwegian Andy La Plegua, over several albums the group’s sound has continued to evolve, with '80s synths immersed in the muck of industrial noise and electronically altered lyrics.
