In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In my early teen years there was only one radio station in my city that played the 'new' type of music coming out of the US. I used to listen and be fascinated. I recall, for instance, the 1962 song 'Twist, Twist Senora' by Gary 'US' Bonds. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Neil Young, After the Goldrush The Beach Boys, Surfer Girl The great harmonies blended with a new style of rock -- in my early years, I thought the Beach Boys were like gods of music. The Rolling Stones have always had something powerful to say to me, and when I first heard Neil Young I was simply stunned. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lord on the Beach (Omega)” I wrote the verses for this song a long time ago -- with the chorus coming much later. I wanted to use the lyrics to show that the yearning for a 'god' is not isolated to just a single culture. Also, I use my 'special' guitar on this track. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have written a number of songs about the war in Ukraine, including 'Vladimir Putin...' At the time, I wondered whether anyone would appreciate it. Later, I found that the lyrics had been translated into 8 other languages! A memorable outcome. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I work alone most of the time, and my live appearances are few and far between. But the music and the ideas keep bubbling up in my brain, and I just hope that a growing number of listeners will get something out of what I do.
