About Colin Blunstone

As lead singer for the Zombies, Colin Blunstone's tender, evocative voice was a staple of the 1960s on hits ranging from "She's Not There" to "Time of the Season." After that band's dissolution, Blunstone briefly quit music, but he returned in 1971 with a new, eloquent sound, one informed by such diverse influences as Jacques Brel, Marvin Gaye, and the Beatles. Throughout the decade, the British singer scored a host of hits in his home country while recording enduring cult LPs. Blunstone proceeded to record at least one album per decade into the 21st century, and has appeared as part of various Zombies reunions over the years, accruing a discography rich with highlights such as 1971's One Year and latter-day work like 2013's On the Air Tonight.
