Cody Simpson

Pop singer, dancer, and model Cody Simpson was just 13 when he rose to fame in his native Australia in 2010 with a Top 20 single, “iYiYi,” featuring the rapper Flo Rida. • Simpson moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and toward the end of the year released 4 U, the first in a string of EPs. His full-length debut, Paradise, followed in 2012. The album peaked at No. 27 in the US and No. 31 in Australia. • After two more albums in 2013 and 2015, respectively, Simpson split with his record label and started a band, Cody Simpson and the Tide. The trio released a pair of EPs, Wave One and Wave Two, in 2017 and 2018, respectively. • The band split after three years when Simpson headed to Broadway for a role in the musical Anastasia in 2018–19. • Later in 2019, Simpson won the inaugural season of The Masked Singer in Australia, which he said marked a return to his solo pop career.
