In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 4 years old, I got a toy piano as a present. A couple of days later, my mum heard me playing theme tunes from TV ads that I had worked out by ear. She asked if I wanted to start piano lessons, and I guess the rest is history! ABBA, ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits Alan Menken, Stephen Schwartz, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (2016 Studio Cast Recording) Jane Monheit, The Very Best of Jane Monheit Abba Gold was my first album, I listened to it obsessively (and still do sometimes!) Siri recommended Jane Monheit to me and I fell in love with her voice. Nothing makes me happy/sad, laugh/cry like the stage version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Tell us why you chose this song. “Colourblind” As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a humanbeing, I'm horrified at stories of awful human rights conditions and discrimination that is so prevalent. In 1 hour I wrote Colourblind, which is about the hope we can one day look past our differences.
