About Christopher Bono
Composer Christopher Bono originally planned to be a baseball player, and was even drafted by the Seattle Mariners and signed to the University of South Carolina, before major injuries ended that career in his junior year of college. While he was recuperating, Bono discovered his musical talent and began writing songs on an acoustic guitar. Playing clubs and open mics led to recording his first EP, Escape, and full-length albums, Of Monkey and Man, and Ten Senators and the Rebel Son. Bono also formed the experimental chamber rock ensemble Ghost Against Ghost, which blended psychedelia, ambient, electronic, and contemporary instrumental styles with alternative rock. In 2012, Bono released Invocations, an album that showed advances in classical chamber music and ensemble composition.
