In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I listened to Julie Andrews on "The Sound of Music" soundtrack a LOT - which was really my gateway drug to falling in love with musical theatre. Having had a full and rich life in the theatre for all these years, I have no regrets! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Christopher Jackson, Daveed Diggs, Leslie Odom, Jr., Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phillipa Soo, Hamilton: An American Musical (Original Broadway Cast Recording) Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein, The Sound Of Music (Original Soundtrack Recording) Tom Eyen, Dreamgirls (Original Broadway Cast Album - 1982) Original Broadway Cast Album - 1982 These 3 cast albums represent some of the best of the best to me! Rich characters, gorgeously sung storytelling, evocative music and lyrics! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “We Choose Freedom” The message of this song is at the center of all of my work; choosing freedom and joy as guiding stars and inspiration for living a life with compassion and kindness. My collaboration with composer Kim D. Sherman was magical. And these singers! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was in the 1st National tour of "Come From Away" for its entirety and our first stop back from the pandemic shutdown was a concert version of the show in front of the Lincoln Memorial, commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Unforgettable! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to return to Broadway as a writer! There are certainly other beautiful theatre communities across the country that I would relish being produced in, but I will always be a Broadway Baby with Broadway dreams!
