An American producer, DJ, model, and entrepreneur who employs a compelling mix of Europop, hip-hop, R&B, and house, Chantel Jeffries first caught the public's attention as a social media star. An in-demand DJ and Instagram celebrity with over four million followers, Jeffries added pop star to her résumé with the release of her 2018 debut single, "Wait," featuring Migos' Offset and Louisville rapper Vory. A Los Angeles native with roots in North Carolina and Florida, Jeffries was a well-known DJ and model with ties to Justin Bieber and the Weeknd by the time she began making her own music. She inked a deal with Universal in early 2018 and released the aforementioned "Wait" later that May. The track peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and was followed in July by a second single, "Both Sides," which also featured Vory. She returned to the charts by the end of the year with "Better" featuring BlocBoy JB and another turn by Vory.
