About Cassadee Pope

Singer-songwriter and musician Cassadee Pope planned to be a zoologist before she was bitten by the rock bug and formed a band with her high school friend Mike Gentile.

∙ Pope’s second band, the pop-punk Hey Monday, was discovered in 2008 when Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz found their demo at his manager’s office.
∙ Hey Monday’s single “Candles” was performed by Darren Criss and Chris Colfer on the “Original Song” episode of Glee.
∙ In 2012, Pope joined Blake Shelton’s team on The Voice, singing his song “Over You” in the live round, and single shot to No. 1 on iTunes, unseating Psy’s monster hit “Gangnam Style.”
∙ After winning Season 3 of The Voice, Pope released Frame by Frame, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
∙ In 2015, she was nominated with Chris Young for a Grammy Award for their No. 1 Country hit, “Think of You.”
