About Carter Fox

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The very first 'professional' gig I played was when I was 15 years old with a jazz combo called the Blueprint Quartet. We played a wine tasting at a local synagogue, I made $50, and I played Weather Report's Birdland with Jaco's iconic riffs. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Prayer for the World (feat. Stephen Honsberger)” This song is super special to me because of its meaning. It was written about hope for a better world after the terrorist attacks in France in 2015 (Eagles of Death Metal). Inspired by Thundercat, too, I wrote this piece about a brighter future. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was while on tour with Freddie Jackson, standing on the stage at State Farm Arena where the Atlanta Hawks play (seeing all the banners in the rafters), hearing the crowd lose it for the bass intro to 'Rock Me Tonite' Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to play with Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, and still many legends and artists. I want to have my own music on Sirius XM and stations all over the world. I hope to score a successful film/tv show/game. And I hope to play in YOUR town, soon!
