In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. i was given a solo for my third grade choir concert. i was nervous that i was gonna forget the words, but i didn’t. my parents were very proud of me and all my friends told me that i had a pretty voice. i think that’s when i knew i loved singing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Geese, 3D Country Mk.gee, Two Star & The Dream Police The 1975, Being Funny In a Foreign Language all of these albums have a similar chaotic vibe that i really resonate with, and that i’m really inspired by. they take you on a wild ride. if you listen to my music closely, i think you’ll find subtle elements of these albums in there. Tell us why you chose this song. “3 am” 3am is special to me because it’s the first song that i wrote that i was proud of. i wrote it when i was 17, and it’s been really cool to see how people have connected with it over the years. the song given me a lot. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? i just love any opportunity to play and sing with my friends. i love when people ask me to collaborate with them in any way. that’s my happy place. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? not very exciting, but i’d really like to take a trip somewhere by myself and just see what i’m able to write. it’d be nice to dedicate some time solely to writing songs…preferably in the mountains somewhere.
