I grew up surrounded by blue grass, classical, gospel, Spanish love songs and musicals from Hollywood's golden age, but music never felt like it understood me until I discovered Nora Jones on the alt radio station and danced in the mirror at 16. Tell us why you chose this song. “She's a Dancer” I wrote this song during a really hard time when a family member was sick. I wrote it during trips to and from the hospital to pump myself up and not feel so sad. This song can totally turn around a bad day.
